Taffy

This fall it is just Taffy and I at home while the other girls are at school. I really thought life would be easier taking care of 1 child as opposed to keeping track of 4--BOY WAS I WRONG!! I didn't realize how much the other girls played interference for me so I could get something done without a little helper following me around. So to add some variety to the week, I signed her up for Mommy and Me Gymnastics. We go every Wednesday mornings and she LOVES it!! I like it too except for the Ring around the Rosie part...I can't spin very well--makes me SICK!!

Once I get myself organized, I'm gonna try to hit the Library's story time too. That was fun last year when I took her. Enough for now...-AS

We went to SE Iowa for Grandma's Annual Birthday Party/family reunion. That is always a GREAT time!! Now that so many kids are so busy, we don't do our annual Winter Getaway. So this is one of the few times a year that I see many of these relatives. As always, there was Great Food, Great conversations and lots of fun!! -AS

Last week, I spent several days in Jamaica with my sister, her new husband, his family, my parents and my friend Nicky. As much as Jamaica is NOT my favorite place, I did have a GREAT time!! We didn't do a whole lot, which is fine with me but we did get out and see Margaritaville in Montego Bay and another day we went and climbed the Dunn's River Falls which is ABSOLUTELY BEAUTIFUL!! Jamaica is not a place that I like to venture off the resort too often and certainly NOT alone...I don't feel safe there and so that is why it's not one of my favorite destinations. On our ventures out, we traveled in a pack of 13-15 people so all was good!! All in all, I had a BLAST!! Enough for now...-AS

My SIster's Wedding in Jamaica

My sister and her now husband got married in Jamaica yesterday (9/9/09). Luckily, the weather was beautiful!! It has been raining every afternoon we've been here--ggrrr... but it held out for the wedding and then rained (lightly today) in the afternoon...
