What a CRAZY Week!!

Taffy is the Pink Poodle.
Mikaela, Piper, Chloe,Taffy and Teagan.
Piper scoopin' out the GUTS!!
Teagan and Chloe scoopin' out the Guts too.
SCOOP, SCOOP, SCOOP...

I apologize for not being on line much this week and for not posting...Uuuggghhh...We've had A WEEK!!  For starters, we FINALLY bought pumpkins to carve on Monday--at least it wasn't THURSDAY!!  So the kids did that on Monday night and we even roasted the seeds!  Also Monday, I found us a house to buy!!  So on Tuesday I had Shane go look at it and he loved it as much as I did.  Wednesday, we put an offer on it and listed ours to sell.  Wednesday, Shane came home at noon to start DECLUTTERING the basement!  (Yes, hell did freeze over for Shane to take time off of work to not do more (paid) work or fish.)  Thursday, was Beggar's night so the kids went around the neighborhood and got more candy then we need!  Today, Shane took the day off AGAIN (yes, the WHOLE day) and did a TON of stuff around the house while I was at work and the girls were either at the sitters or school.  He does a great job when he's left alone!!  And then our realtor called today and said that the sellers agree to our counter offer and that we have a showing of our house tonight and tomorrow!!  WOW!!  This is stressful to me!!  Trying to keep a house clean while trying to live in it with FOUR kids!  I hope it sells FAST--I am soooo NOT patient!!  Anyway, that's been our life in a nutshell this week.  If you have any hot selling tips, shoot them my way!  Enough for now...-AS

What a Weekend!!

Taffy going down the slide in her Piglet costume.
Chloe dressed up as a baby.  She's told me REPEATEDLY how it's no fair to be the oldest.
It's not quite a broomstick but Teagan's making it work!
I'm not sure why I did this one twice or how to get rid of one of them...
Chloe, Taffy, Teagan, Isabelle and Piper.
Teagan (the witch) and Piper (the cat) waiting for the train.
Piper the cat.
Chloe, Piper, Teagan, Taffy and Mommy.
Chloe, Piper, Teagan, Daddy and Taffy.

Saturday was very busy!!  I started the day at bands class (an exercise class I've been going to for 7 weeks) and then we all went to Race for the Cure.  It is something I like to do every year and this year I took all the girls and Shane.  Someone(s) WILL be staying home next year and it won't be ME!!  They moved the location this year and that wasn't a good move on their part!!  It was WAY TOO CONGESTED this year!!  Great Cause but I think I'll leave children and husband HOME next year!!
My sister and niece were in town this weekend so we met them at Blank Park's Night Eyes.  We had never been there so it was a nice change.  It was also pretty congested as they don't let you roam the zoo, you have to walk almost single file through the park and you can't pass those in front of you. (kind of a problem for me since I have NO patients!!)  The kids got to wear their costumes and they received candy at "stations" set up throughout the park so not all was lost.  The kids really enjoyed it. ;-)  I guess that's all that matters!!  Then Isabelle and Alicia stayed all night at our place and all the girls thought that was GREAT!!  Isabelle even got to go to Sunday School with Piper.  Enough for now...-AS

Friday is FUNDAY!!

Friday the kids didn't have school so I took a half day (on the only day I work in a week :-) ) and we spent the day doing whatever.  Teagan was at a play date so she missed out and we left Taffy at the sitter's house.  Chloe, Piper and I went bowling and then to the mall.  I, of course, won with a score of 113 and then Chloe with 81 and Piper had a 74.  It was pretty fun.  We then headed out to the mall because I need some jeans.  I tried on at least 6 pair and nothing fit.  Some of them would have been fine if I don't mind my fanny hanging out but I have trouble with that. :-(  I'll try again this week.   Enough for now...-AS

Piper's Leader Day

Today, Piper was the leader at school so she got to bring treats and "be the leader".  Oh, and also bring a show and tell, which was a Bratz doll (not my 1st choice) and one of Taffy's toy phones.  Obviously she didn't think long and hard about what to bring but whatever.  Her choice.  Last year, I remember getting all worked up about what she was going to bring.  We'd actually spend time talking about what she was going to bring and what she could say about the item.  This year, just grab something on the way out the door and make it up when you get there!!  I doubt she says much about it anyway unless the teachers ask.  Today, she also had a hearing test.  That was in connection with her speech evaluation that I had done in early September.  She just doesn't talk as clear as Teagan (who acts like she's 8!).  As it turned out, her speech is fine and so is her hearing!! ( I didn't really ever question her hearing but I guess it's standard protocol and it's free to me, so have at it!!)  Anyway, have a good day.  Enough for now...-AS

Saturday Morning at the Mall..

Piper, Teagan, Taffy and Chloe.  My pathetic attempt to get them all to sit NICELY!!  didn't work out so well...
Taffy--she is THE CUTEST 20 MONTH OLD!!
Piper--  She's a PRETTY CUTE 4 year old!!
Teagan is a VERY CUTE 5 year old!!
Chloe--a darn CUTE 9 year old with Taffy--see above if you forgot how cute she is!! ;-)

This morning, for lack of something better to do, we went to the mall to play.  Shane was on call so I just took the girls alone.  We didn't even really shop, just played and ate lunch there.  We really haven't been doing much lately, hence, the lack of posts.  SORRY!!  I don't really see it getting any more exciting.  My kids are going to my cousins house in a few weeks so that Shane and I can go to a 40th birthday party for a friend of mine so I'm looking forward to that!  I have been on the house hunt lately too.  I looked at 3 or 4 last week and have another appointment this week for 1 or 2 more.  Despite the economy, we still have 4 kids in a 3 bedroom house!!  We've out grown this one.  It's been a great place with a street full of girls (and a couple of boys) to play with and a park in the back yard but we are SQUISHED!!  We are also taking the kids on a trip to Florida to include a 4 day Disney Cruise coming up.  We are ALL sooooo EXCITED about that!!  We are going with Grandma and Grandpa Sindlinger, Tina (Shane's sister), Tom and family and Alicia (my sister)and family.  Enough for now...-AS

Visit from Grandma and Grandpa...

Chloe, Teagan, Piper and Aftyn. (even in age order!!)
Shane's helping Piper, Chloe and Teagan.  (I think he has Taffy but I can't really see her)
Piper's doin' a flip...in a skirt even...
Taffy is the BIG CHEESE!!

Last weekend, Grandma Linda and Grandpa Leroy stopped by for a visit.  The kids are always EXCITED to get company.  We didn't do too much but ate at Dairy Queen and played at the park that's behind our house.  The kids really had a great time!!  They're easily AMUSED!!  Enough for now...-AS

Lunch with Chloe...

Chloe eating her walking taco.
Tate was sitting by us until he got moved by the lunch room "nazi".  (she's got NO sense of humor!!) He's a friend of ours--he and his sister come over before and after school.
Chloe and Taff by the wall.
Taff and Chloe on the playground.
Piper on the swing.  (She'll have this lunchroom thing down by next year when she goes to kindergarten.)

I am so behind in blogging so I'll try to catch up...( I didn't realize it until I had 79 photos to download into iphoto)   Piper and I went to school a week or so ago to have lunch with Chloe.  That's ALWAYS interesting!!  Atleast Chloe picked a day that was walking tacos.  Piper loves them.  I feel sorry for the janitor--that's a MESSY day!  Chloe hates it when ALL of the girls, friends or not, hang on Aftyn so she kept her in a remote location of the playground so she wouldn't have to "share" her.  (that's not the word I was looking for)  We contemplated not going to recess but Piper wanted to so we did.  Enough about that...-AS

Teagan's Wish...

I was talking to Teagan today about pretty much nothing.  And she blurts out, "God isn't giving me my wish and I'm dying to have it."  I said, "He's not giving me my wish either."  She said, "That's because you tell too many people what it is." (I always say that you can't tell what your wish is or it won't come true.) I said, "what is my wish then?"  She said, "That you wish I wouldn't talk so much!"  I said as I'm laughing my head off, "That's one of them!"  He he.  I guess maybe I should stop saying that OUT LOUD!!  She does NOT ever quit talking though!!!   goof ball...-AS
PS. Can't remember if Teagan told me her wish or not.  If she did, I don't remember it.
