HAPPY BIRTHDAY, PIPER!! : )

Piper's scrambled eggs and slice of cinnamon braid.
Piper is sooo tired, she won't even wake up for her breakfast.

Piper can't even walk down the hall way--can't wait until she's a teenager and has to get up early!!  NOT!
Despite us telling her MULTIPLE times, she still won't wake up--I ended up blowing out the candle myself.
Here is the cake we ran and got in between Teagan and Chloe's field day activities.

Thursday, May 28th was Piper's 5th birthday.  Wow!!  The time for her to turn 5 has gone SLOW!!  I can't say that about my other kids, but for some reason, she has taken A LONG TIME!!  ( I think it has something to do with her YEARS of ear issues)  Anyway, poor girl had to spend the day at the elementary school watching her sisters participate in "field day".  We went there in the morning for Chloe's and then back in the afternoon for Teagan's.  What a BUSY day!!  She did get her breakfast in bed though. (althought she didn't eat it there) I almost forgot but Teagan reminded me at bedtime--good thing we had some eggs and a cinnamon braid or she would have had cereal!!  In the evening, we invited our old neighbors, Cael, Avery, Melissa and baby Gabe over for pizza and cake and then we went to our new park.  I almost forgot to give her a gift too.  It was 8:30 pm and I was getting ready to send her to bed and a light bulb went off:  "oh, Piper, I need to give you a present."  Oops...she didn't remember either...enough for now...-AS

GREASE...

Chloe and Max were selected about a month or so ago to be in a musical production.  They had several early morning practices  (8 am--so not that early).  They had to wear 60's garb and our sitter had a poodle skirt from one of her girls that we borrowed.  Chloe looked GREAT!!  She is NOT a skirt girl but she wore it anyway.  It was a pretty neat production.  Chloe got selected for last years' production, as well. Enough for now...-AS

Field Trips...

Chloe and Lauren sorting out their "clues"...

Chloe and her head gear...
The Fourth Grade Class...
Chloe's class went to Vaos Nature Center outside of Minburn.  There they learned how to use a compass at "Compass University".  And then they were set free into 5oo+ acres of Nature!!  There the class was broken into groups and everyone had to find different clues.  At the end, the groups put there clues together to figure out the animal they were assigned.  We as parents, were only allowed to tell our group to "orient the map".  We couldn't help at all.  The kids really enjoyed being set loose into the open wilderness with prairie, forest, and wetlands.

Teagan's Kindergarten Class...
Kayla, Teagan and Brenna...
This man was just the CUTEST!!
Teagan has the opportunity to pet the baby lamb...

I had the pleasure of going on field trips with both Teagan and Chloe in the last 2 weeks.  Teagan's was to the Living History Farms and it was chilly and windy that day with an occasional shower of rain.  It was a nice trip but maybe a little long for kindergarteners.  They seem to loose interest towards the end of the trip.  Enough for now...-AS

HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY!!

Hello all, Hope you are having a WONDERFUL Mother's Day!!  Mine was uneventful (which with 4 kids IS a GOOD thing!!)  Shane is on call so we spent the day without him (for the most part).  I took the girls to the park that in near our new house.  What a NICE park!!  And it's close to a bike trail and a creek!  That'll be a fun place to go this summer.  I REALLY have to do some packing so I'll cut this short.  Have a great night...Enough...-AS
