Funny things Kids Say...

Yesterday, I had a dentist appointment and when I got home, Piper said, "Mom, when am I going to GROW a gold tooth?" I promptly told her that she shouldn't WANT one because it means I didn't take care of my teeth as well as she should when I was little. Silly girl...Piper's been saying alot of funny things lately but I can't remember them...I should write them down.

I was in the bathroom curling my hair before my dentist appointment and Taffy came in and said, "Mommy, don't curl my face." "OK, Taffy, I won't curl your FACE!!"

We walked to the park the other day to play tennis...however,there was more playing in the park then playing tennis going on. I think it was frustrating for Chloe to play tennis because Teagan and Piper just aren't that good and I was doing my best to play with her and chase balls for the other girls and push Taffy on the swing, and etc. It would be fun if just Chloe and I went up to play tennis so that I could just focus on that. After we decided to hang up the racquets and just play on the play ground, it was easier on everyone. Taffy learned how to climb up the HUGE slide, Teagan can do the monkey bars all by herself and Piper is STILL the mother hen, following Taffy around to help her do what ever she wants to do. Poor Taffy is gonna be soooo SAD when Piper goes to kindergarten this year. She'll be so LONELY!! She won't know what to do! Guess we'll be finding a play group to join. Enough for now...-AS

We went to the zoo today on a whim!! Yeah...not the best idea!! It was FREE DAY and it was PACKED!! I'm not sure how many times we've been there but we have only probably seen the same 1/3 of the zoo. There is SOOOO much we haven't seen, it's NOT even funny!! Today, we weren't gonna see much either as it was WAY TOO BUSY and somehow, as soon as my kids walk into the zoo, they are SUDDENLY tired of walking and can't go another step! What's up with that?? It is a big zoo and very hilly, but they were complaining on the way from the car to the entrance...I told them they were gonna start running laps in our neighborhood to build up their endurance! Yeah, that's right!! ; ) Despite all that drama, it was a nice day weather wise and we'll have to check the website before we drive two hours next time...Enough for now...-AS

Grateful...

I am so grateful for all the time I've gotten to stay home with the girls and especially with Aftyn. I am AMAZED at how fast she is growing up!! It seems like she went from saying 1-word sentences to COMPOUND sentences in a months' time. It's very fascinating that we can actually carry on somewhat intelligent conversations with her. She is one girl that WILL NOT allow herself to get walked on...she stands up for herself already. I wish that I had gotten to work an abbreviated schedule with the other girls like I do with AFtyn...it's soo FUN to see her develop instead of getting it 2nd hand... Enough for now...-AS

We went to Adventureland Inn for a couple of days...here are a few pictures from the first day. We just planned on locking ourselves in the hotel for a couple days and that's pretty much what we did... : ) Ahhhh...relaxing.... enough...-AS

Here we go..

Ever since we moved to this house, Piper wants to walk to Dahl's ( a local grocery store). It's 3-4 blocks away and very easy to get to. Yesterday, we needed eggs, margarine and milk so I asked who wanted to go to the store. Piper's answer is "can we walk to Dahls?" So we walk at least twice a week to Dahl's. Yesterday took a little longer as Aftyn wanted to walk and push a stroller that Teagan wanted to take. It's kind of an unruly stroller so it kept veering off the sidewalk. We did FINALLY make it to the store though. Oh well, it's something to do. Enough for now...AS
