Summer vacation started last Friday for Teagan and Chloe. On Friday, they had to go to the sitter. I heard, "it's not really fair that we have to go to a babysitter's house every Friday of summer vacation." Now really??? I then explained that MILLIONS of kids go to a sitter EVERY DAY during summer vacation and that they should feel pretty LUCKY!! This weekend was pretty uneventful. We unpacked some more boxes (ok, SHANE unpacked boxes) while I took the girls to the movie, UP. He got a TON done while we were gone : ) He's good about that--I take the girls out (I'm good at that) and he BUST'S A MOVE (he's good at that!)
Monday, we didn't do a whole lot either but we did try our hands at making cream cheese mints. They tasted pretty good but they were FAR from pretty!! Good thing we have YEARS before we need to make them for any real event! We have lots of practicing to do!!
Today was CRAZY!! We started the day out taking Piper in for her 5 year check up--she TOTALLY lucked out on the shots!! Last year she got her 5 yr shots and she got her lead tested when she was 1 so she didn't need ANY!! Lucky girl!! She checked out healthy and it the 90% for height--what?? and the 75% in weight. She gained 7 lbs and 3 1/2 inches in the last year : ) This afternoon, we went to the pool with the Winter's, we jumped out of there and I took Teagan and Piper to Kiddie Kollege and then those 2 went straight to gymnastics from there and after that, we went to see Chloe at Tae Kwon Do get her yellow belt and MISSED IT by 3 minutes!! GGRR...(she went to Lauren's house after swimming to have supper and to see her new puppy) We were on the move from 2:15 until 6:40!! We only stopped at home to pick stuff up or drop stuff off. Taffy and I did get to sit at home from 5:10-5:50. It was crazy!! and not a typical night for us!! ; ) Enough for now...-AS
