Tonight, we finally carved our pumpkins. The kids like to do that and I'm glad we only do it once a year...that's enough. And that's probably why it's as fun as it is. Lexi wanted in on the action...she's a nosey little thing. I am even baking the seeds...we'll see how the kids like them this year...Enough for now...Charlie Brown Pumpkin is on... ; ) -AS

on Sunday morning i had most of my family come over for my 1st Communion! at first i was SO scared!! but then when i got up there all i had to do was cup my hands and they would give me a piece of bread and a cup of wine! easy as pie! of course after that we had a party!! i got GREAT gifts including $40, a necklace with a cross, and hershey kisses!!!

PS...Chloe wrote this post...she thought she was on HER blog but was on mine instead... Silly girl!! : ) and her cake is from Costco, not Dahl's...

Taffy spiked a fever so she put herself down for a nap on the couch when we were opening gifts...poor baby.

Chloe as been studying all about First Communion at Sunday school. This weekend was the 'Big Sunday' that she got to receive her first Communion. It was pretty uneventful worship service but a very important day for Chloe and her classmates. AFter church, we had extended family over for lunch. It was a pretty good day...despite 3 of the 4 girls fighting fevers and such earlier in the week and Aftyn's came back this morning...She'll be going to the Dr tomorrow to get this thing figured out...Enough...-AS

The Bug, part 2...

As it turns out, Teagan's strep culture tested positive after the initial test turned out negative...she's on antibiotics...hoping the END is in SIGHT!! **fingers crossed** Enough...-AS

We've got the Bug... : (

Teagan has been home sick from school for 2 days now and I'm PRAYING that she's healthy enough to go to school tomorrow...she is BORED silly!! After a busy weekend (they are FUN at the time but usually BITE us in the fanny later), she kind of got a Low grade temperature Sunday night. She woke up in the middle of the night with a fever and woke up in the morning with a slight fever again. I made an appointment to see the Dr for her and took her in on Monday. She had nothing treatable besides the fever, headache, sore throat and cough, which we are just treating with OTC meds. She took a nap on Sunday and Monday--that's a SIGNAL-- that she's sick! When she woke up from her nap, she was burning up...she spiked a higher temp then she's had so she was getting worse--UGH! She woke up in the middle of the night last night with a fever but woke up Fever-FREE this morning so I have my fingers crossed that she's on the mend. She acted pretty good today. Each time I took her temp in was only in the 99's so I think we may be good to go back to school tomorrow. Chloe has a field trip tomorrow that she REALLY wants me to go on. She'll be sooo DISAPPOINTED if I can't go but I told her that if Teagan (or anyone else for that matter) is sick, I won't be able to go. I'm hoping that the **BUG** is just contained to the one child and doesn't spread like wildfire to the rest of us...we also have Chloe's first Communion this weekend...and we're expecting family from out of town...that would REALLY stink if we had to cancel that!! oh well...time will tell what will happen...tomorrows' "Wordless Wednesday" might be slim pickin's for pictures...I've already posted about everything we've done lately...Enough for now...-AS

We took the kids to the Pumpkin Patch today...the kids always LOVE going there. We went to a different one then we've ever been to. They had goats, ducks, bunnies, a corn pool, a stack of hay that the kids could climb on, pedal tractors, a slide, a hayrack ride and a corn maze. I'm sure I'm leaving something out but there was so much to do there...If it wasn't such a chilly windy day, it would have been PERFECT!! Enough for now...-AS

Lunch with Piper!! = )

Since Aftyn and I had lunch with Teagan earlier this week, Piper wanted us to have lunch with her too. So we did! It was pizza burger day and much to my surprise, it was actually GOOD!! Taffy isn't much for sandwiches on buns so I ate that. We also had corn, pears and chocolate Teddy Grahams. Not a bad day for school lunch, I must say : ) Since it was misty raining, we had indoor recess and the kids watched a movie in the classroom. Piper wanted us to stay for that so we did. What a nice day...we'll have to do that more often! Enough...-AS

PS...the kids also earned pajama day, hence the pajamas ; )

Aftyn and I went to lunch with Teagan yesterday...it was different then what we are used to since we had to switch Elementary schools when we moved. I had to go meet the "mean" lunch lady...she didn't seem so mean to me but I was only there once for 20 minutes. We had to pick a day that Teagan would ACTUALLY eat hot lunch...she RARELY does that. It was a good day with chili, carrots and ranch, cinnamon roll and a very cherry popsicle--YUMMY!! I didn't eat much so I could give most of it to Taffy but what I had was pretty yummy!! This lunch room is sooo small compared to last years but the food is the same since it's the same school district. Tomorrow we get to go have lunch with Piper!! Chloe said she didn't see anyone's parents coming in for lunch in the fifth grade so I'm not sure I'll get to eat lunch with her or not : ( I'll try to talk her into it one of these days...Enough for now...AS

PS...as you can see, we also had to stay for recess...
