The big girls and I did the Boy Scout Fun Run in Waukee this morning. The weather was raining and awful but despite the weather, we all had a good run. I did the 5k and the girls did the 1 mile run. After the run, we had our gaterade and fruit that is provided and we left. Little did we know that Teagan got 1st place in the 8 and under group. What a SpeedSter!! Funny thing is, originally it was just going to be Piper and I doing the run and then Piper asked Teagan if she wanted to do it and Teagan said, "Yea, but I'm not gonna run very fast cuz I don't want to get outta breath." How FUNNY is that??? Unfortunately, it's STILL raining and all the activities got postponed until tomorrow...I hope the weather is better!! Happy Birthday, America!! -AS
