Aftyn's favorite part was splashing in the water
Teagan, Avery and Chloe in the fossil area

Today we went back to the zoo.  This time we met Melissa, Cael and Avery so we had 2 more kids to chase but another mom to help so it was good.  Once again, the playground was the best part for the kids even though is was wet due to our nasty storms last night.  Actually the only other things we saw were the elephant show and the giraffes.  We need to start backwards at the zoo next time.  Good thing we have a Zoo Pass!!  We'll be back.

The storm last night caused the tornado sirens to go off twice here in town.  Shane, of course, slept through it until I woke him up to ask if we should take the kids downstairs to the basement.  He said, "No, it'll be alright."  That's a typical Shane answer if there ever was one!!  So I ran from window to window looking for a tornado or whatever I thought I was going to see.  But the trees in the park weren't even moving so then I couldn't help but wonder if that was the calm right before the tornado hit.  Evidently I thought when I did see the tornado, I would be able to get 4 kids, a husband, a cat and a dog to the basement lickity split safe and sound.  Finally my satellite started working so I found out that the tornado warning for our area had been canceled.  Then Shane got up and had a late night snack before going back to bed.  It all turned out to be "alright" and that is one situation that I don't want to prove Shane wrong--I'll get him next time : - )

Tonight, we (Melissa, Corbin, Shane and I) were sitting out in the drive way and I happen to be drinking a beer (we all were, actually) and Chloe said, "You drink beer?"  And I said, "Sometimes, but not usually at home."  And without skipping a beat, Chloe said, "So you drink beer at work?"  We all busted out laughing!!  I would probably be happier at work if I could drink beer there.  I'll ask Emily next time I go in.  Kids are funny!!  Enough for now...-AS
